iPhoneの2008年第4四半期の出荷台数予測

iPhoneの2008年第4四半期（10月～12月期）の販売台数に関する予測が出ています。

AppleInsiderによれば、

In other potentially bad news, Garnder cautioned that iPhone shipments for the quarter could come in below 4 million, which would represent a near 50 percent drop off from the 6.9 million units the company sold during the third calender quarter of the year, which embodied the launch of the iPhone 3G.

と、CitigroupのアナリストRichard Gardner氏の顧客向けレポートとして、同時期のiPhone 3Gの出荷台数は400万台を下回り、前四半期（2008年7月～9月期）の690万台の50%ダウンになるのではないかという予測を述べています。

先ごろ、Goldman Sachsの550万台予測をお伝えしましたが、今回のCitiグループ予測はそれをさらに下回るものです。

販売対象国の広がりを考えると少し低すぎるような気もしますが、アメリカでの爆発的な広まりとその他の国での落ち着いた広まりの差を考えると、このような数字が落ち着きどころなのかも知れません。

いよいよ来週に決算発表を控え、様々な予測が飛び交うようになりました。
