Google Chrome2.0プリベータ配布

先日恐ろしいほどの勢いで正式版であるバージョン1.0をリリースした（「Google Chrome正式版リリース」）ばかりのGoogle製ブラウザ「Chrome」ですが、早くも開発者向けにバージョン2.0が配布されていると言うことです。

ReadWriteWebによれば、

The Google Chrome team keeps releasing updates to Google’s browser on an almost weekly basis, but it is interesting that the latest version in the developer channel is now already being called 2.0. This comes just about four monthsafter Google first released its browser to the public. This new version (2.0.156.1) is only available in the developer channel, but it already points at where Google is planning to go with this next version of Chrome, which, besides many new features, also includes a new version of WebKit and Google’s own implementation of the HTTP protocol.

デベロッパーチャネルにおいて、バージョン2.0のプリベータバージョン（2.0.156.1）が配布開始されていると言うことです。

2.0の主な機能は、

• 新しいWebKitエンジン：CSS gradientsとreflectionsをサポート
• Google Bookmarksからのブックマークインポート　※ブックマーク同期が可能になると言うことです。
• フォームでのオートコンプリート
• Greasemonkey scriptの仮対応　※1/3が動く程度
• オートスクロール機能：IEやFireFoxであるようなマウスのセンターボタンによるスクロール。
• フルページズーミング
• スペルチェック機能の強化

となっているようです。

さらに、

• タブドラッキング：IE7のようにタブをドラッグしてdockに入れることが出来る
• 独自のhttpネットワーク制御：Mac版およびLinux版にも共通して使われる模様です。
• セキュリティ：httpsを使用しないバグがあることの修正のようです。

もサポートされるとしています。

現在は、まだデベロッパーチャネルでしか配布されていませんが、これまでのペースを考えると早ければ2月にはリリースバージョンとなって配布されるのではないでしょうか。

* profiles are a great way to separate Chrome’s settings in different categories: you could create a work profile with its own homepage, bookmarks and browsing history and profile for your personal projects. The great thing about Chrome is that you don’t have to close the browser to change your profile: just open a new window in a separate profile.

1. If you don’t have Google Chrome, install it from google.com/chrome
2. Subscribe to the developer preview channel. This is required even if you’ve previously subscribed to the channel.
3. Wait until the new version is downloaded (you may force the updatie by opening the “About Google Chrome” dialog).

それによると、プロファイル切り替え機能が付くようです。オプション設定が異なるプロファイルを作っておき、それを指定してのwindow軌道が可能になるようですね。また、デベロッパーチャネルへの切り替え方についても解説してくれています。
